Herbex Olive
Olea Europaea (Olive) is an evergreen belonging to the Olea of the Oleaceae. Its leaves contain many active substances that are beneficial to human beings and animals, such as polyphenols, flavonoids, terpenoids, organic acids, proteins, minerals, etc.. Among all the active substances, Oleuropein draws most of researchers’ attention, as it has strong antioxidative and broad-spectrum antibacterial capacity, and compared with the traditional antioxidant Hydroxytyrosol, Oleuropein has better water solubility and more stable chemical properties.
INCI Name:
Water, Butylene Glycol, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract
Features and benefits:
Anti-oxidation: Oleuropein and Hydroxytyrosol have strong scavenging effect on DPPH free radicals and nitrites and can improve the activity of SOD, so they are better than the commonly used water-soluble antioxidant Vitamin E(Trolox).
Anti-bacteria: It has inhibitory effect on 5 kinds of standard ATCC bacteria strains and another 44 kinds of Clinically isolated bacteria strains.
